In 2001, Butler New Media was an innovative start-up with a desire to educate people worldwide about the issues that people with disabilities face when using the World Wide Web and Online Resources. Since our inception we have had the opportunity to perform web accessibility work for numerous Government And Corporate Clients which include the U.S. Department of Labor, Georgia Tech, and many more.
The company is now a full service marketing and communications firm dedicated to helping businesses reach the disability community and entrepreneurs with disabilities.
The AccessibleNet project has been more than seven years in the making. It has been designed to deal with a major issue facing the disability community, as well as the lack of accessible website's online. This hinders the ability of people with disabilities to fully participate in the digital economy. Butler New Media has been helping the disability community on and off line for many years now.
Butler New Media is a Web Development firm specializing in the creation of accessible web and IT Solutions. Our core competencies are in the area of Section 508 Compliance, Marketing, and Consulting.

In 2001 the US federal government passed Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act which required that all entities wanting to do business with the government, must meet certain guidelines for accessibility and usability. This law, along with the American with Disabilities Act, Section 255 of the Telecommunications Act, and various International laws always affect digital assets. We specialize in web based communications, commerce systems, software applications and other technologies that form the basis of most enterprise networks.
Founder Cornelius Butler is a young entrepreneur who is legally blind but has a genius vision of a more accessible internet empowering entrepreneurs with disabilities. Yes there are other web accessibility firms out there but Cornelius had a dream of putting together a team of Associates to tackle web accessibility head on with the power of people such as you! Currently we are the only company on the web doing something like this on such a large scale. We hope to grow with every day that goes by and make changes where needed to help the navigation of the World Wide Web be easy for every person no mater the disability.
